Accessible Barbados: A Visit to Folkestone

One of the things we love about Barbados is discovering places where accessibility is becoming easier for everyone.

The new walkway to the Folkestone boardwalk is a welcome addition for visitors using manual wheelchairs and walking aids. It provides an opportunity to enjoy the area, take in the surroundings and experience one of Barbados' beautiful coastal locations with greater ease.

At Oakley Mobility, we're passionate about helping people get out and enjoy the island.

If you're travelling to Barbados and are concerned about getting around, planning ahead can make a big difference. Having the right mobility equipment available when you arrive can give you greater freedom throughout your stay.

A quick note: the Folkestone walkway is suitable for manual wheelchairs and walking aids, but powered mobility equipment such as powerchairs and scooters may not be suitable for the sandy sections.

We're continuing to highlight accessible places around Barbados so visitors and locals can make more informed choices about where they can comfortably explore.
